We are very pleased and excited to be holding Bluesfest 2010 on our own land. A dream that has finally come true, after seeking a permanent home since 1996!
Tyagarah Tee Tree Farm is nestled on 120 hectares, just 11 kilometres north of Byron Bay and 8 kilometres south of Brunswick Heads.
It is the perfect place to hold the Festival, and will allow 17,500 Festival visitors per day and 6,500 campers over the entire weekend.
We will finally be able to deliver Bluesfest with a true Festival vibe!
The East Coast Blues Festival began in 1990 at the Arts Factory in Byron Bay, New South Wales. It quickly became known as "Byron Bay Bluesfest" and "The Byron Bay Festival" and is now known as "Bluesfest". At a time when the Maleny Folk Festival (later to be known as the Woodford folk Festival) was only just beginning and festivals such as Big Day Out and Womadelaide did not exist, the Bluesfest pioneered the presentation of blues music in Australia.
